General Information
Hidden away in the Blue Mountain mists is your own secret sanctuary – the romantic retreat you’ve never known where to find.
The dream child of Rose, the wildly romantic run-away wife of famous Australian artist Norman Lindsay, this extraordinary two storey sandstone cottage was intended to be her private escape-house. Now it can be yours!
Your cottage is away from the noise of the railway and highway, unlike most Blue Mountains accomadation.
Set in a sea of wildflowers which thrive in the cool mountain air, this romantic retreat is calling your name. All day long the beautiful scent of the bush and rambling wildflower gardens drift in through the windows, and at night, outside the old fire pit still burns. It’s the idyllic escape-house you always hoped existed.
Escape to this ultimate hideaway in the Blue Mountains. Discover love and recapture lost dreams at this absolutely beautiful cottage in the Blue Mountains.
Just imagine a romantic escape with every day seeming like a relaxing long weekend. A romantic retreat where everything is so perfect you have to keep pinching yourself to be sure you’re not dreaming. Crisp evenings beside a crackling fire, then waking to the calls of melodious lyrebirds.
Our Blue Mountains accomodation has been reviewed as one of Australia’s best B&Bs for years now. As seen on TV’s “Getaway” (1996), “Great Outdoors” and “Sydney Weekender”. Rose Lindsay Cottage is consistently reviewed in publications like Sydney Morning Herald (three times), “Womans Day” and “Australian House and Garden”.
Geoff Watson came to film for “Getaway” (1996). He explained that he rarely takes his wife anywhere, as there is much similarity, so they only go together to places which are really good. We were therefore delighted that Geoff had only been here for ten minutes when he asked if he could call his wife to ask her to come here!
