Kangaroo Valley is a stunningly beautiful valley surrounded by steep escarpments, nestled between the white beaches of the South Coast and the Southern Highlands in New South Wales. It is reputed to be one of only seven fully enclosed valleys in the world.

It is difficult to do justice to the beauty of Kangaroo Valley. In fact the valley’s first European explorer, George Evans, described a view that “no painter could beautify”.

The combination of rainforest clinging to the steep slopes of the escarpment, the splendour of the river as it weaves its way through the countryside, the patchwork quilt of farms, and the small creeks which cross the valley, all make it a special and strikingly attractive place. These qualities have been recognised by the National Trust, which classified the village in 1977.

Kangaroo Valley is only two hours from Sydney and Canberra, so why be anywhere else?
